Glitch

The Hidden Code Running Your Life (And How To Debug It)

Why do you keep repeating the same patterns — even when you know better?

Why do certain situations trigger you so quickly? Why do you self-sabotage, overthink, procrastinate or find yourself stuck in the same relationship, career or emotional loops?

Glitch reveals the hidden psychological patterns that shape the way you think, react and behave — often without you realising it.

Drawing on 25 years of working with elite athletes, high performers and people from all walks of life, Rob Brinded shows you how to recognise these patterns, understand where they came from, and step outside them.

No more quick fixes. No more pretending positive thinking will solve everything.

See the pattern. Understand the pattern. Break the pattern.

How Glitch Helps You Break Repeating Patterns

  1. Recognise the patterns running your life
Identify the five psychological patterns — or “hamster wheels” — that influence the way you think, react and behave, and discover which ones are driving your specific struggles.
  2. Learn to observe your reactions
Step into “admin mode” and learn to observe your thoughts, emotions and reactions without automatically acting on them.
  3. Understand where your patterns came from
Trace present-day reactions and behaviours back to the childhood experiences and conditioning that helped create them.
  4. Change your relationship with your inner child
Learn how to comfort and understand the parts of you still responding from old experiences, so you don’t have to rely on willpower to suppress them.
  5. Catch self-sabotage as it happens
Learn to recognise the mental loops behind procrastination, overthinking and self-sabotage before they take over.
  6. Stay calm under pressure
Apply the same pattern-recognition principles Rob developed through years of working with elite athletes and high performers.
  7. Break repeating behavioural patterns
Understand why the same problems can keep appearing in your relationships, career and personal life — and learn how to respond differently.
  8. Build lasting change
Move beyond quick fixes and positive-thinking techniques to develop a clearer understanding of what is actually driving your behaviour.

Why Do We Keep Repeating the Same Patterns?

You can know exactly what you want to change and still find yourself doing the same thing again.

You procrastinate even though you have an important goal. You react defensively when you don’t want to. You choose the same kind of relationship. You put off difficult conversations. You overthink a decision that should be simple.

These aren’t necessarily failures of discipline or motivation.

They can be patterns.

Much of the way we respond to pressure, relationships, success, failure and uncertainty is shaped long before we’re consciously aware of it.

Glitch gives you a framework for recognising those patterns in real time — so you can understand what’s happening instead of automatically repeating it.

Because you can’t change a pattern you can’t see.

Meet Rob Brinded

After my own system crashed at seventeen, I spent the next twenty five years investigating why humans create their own suffering.

I’m a former strength and conditioning coach who spent five years at Chelsea FC and three at Barcelona, discovering that the same patterns driving elite athletes run in all of us. Fascinated by why the strongest, most successful people were often the most quietly tormented, I left elite sport to study the invisible programmes shaping our lives.

With a background in sports science, energy medicine, and 25 years of pattern recognition, I now help people see and step outside their conditioning. I live on a subtropical island with my wife Sylvia and our daughters, Lima and Bo. When I’m not with clients, I’m on the Jiu-Jitsu mat, walking in nature, or researching how humans really work.

"Hey Rob! This book is so good. I was skeptical when I started reading but it immediately made sense what you were saying and yesterday it helped me stay calm when facing an garage owner who was being pushy with a bill. I saw my hamster wheel surface and I watched it and it completely changed how I would normally act. The whole situation was transformed and I left feeling excited to play this game. Thank you so much for this book."

Contacted Rob for an urgent Skype session as my neck was very painful and swollen which I put down to a tooth problem. I was in an important international tournament and this was really affecting my performance. By the end of the session, Rob had cleared all the pain in my neck and I had full range back. Amazing!! He also cleared some energy blockages affecting my performance and I felt great in the tournament and placed 3rd overall. Rob is my go to guy for performance enhancement and any physical issues I have. - Michael Rocco Pro Poker Player
